President Barack Obama

Ohio’s school district suspended a teacher without pay for allegedly telling an African-American student, “We don’t need another black president.” Far be it form me to criticize the protocol for disciplining teachers, but the call for this teacher’s”firing” is overboard. It is overboard one because the media isn’t filling synapses with more urgent and pressing matters, and two if history is any indicator the teacher is right. We don’t need another black president.

America doesn’t need a female president (sorry Hillary). America doesn’t need a Hispanic or an Asian president. I know people will not like that but it’s the truth. America doesn’t need another ethnic, hyphenated, or sub group American as president if they are going to do exactly what a white male would do. America doesn’t need a female president, if she is going to do what her white male counterpart would do, just so we can celebrate that she is female. Yes those with agendas and predisposed mental conditions would cheer any selection from the selected, but they too will realize that electing someone doesn’t meant that someone represents your concerns, even if they claim to (see Worst Congress Ever). These others, (non-white males) have different experiences, different upbringings and different philosophies but once elect all of those qualities are muted by lobbyist and party lines. With all the talk of inclusion and diversity you don’t see either ruling party grooming any “minority” for the highest office in 2016, now do you? And that should tell you all you need to know.

Saving the auto industry

This does not mean the President is not to be commended for enduring all of the family attacks, the coded-racial slings and arrows. he has recovered masterfully from his mis-steps and endured the fickle whims of an under informed public. Under President Barack Obama the economy is stronger, the supreme court has a Hispanic justice, marijuana is legal, unemployment is down, homosexuals can marry, homeless veterans have housing, wall street has been reformed, the auto industry has been saved, the war in Iraq is over, women are paid equally as men, the stock market is higher than it has ever been and every American has healthcare coverage.

Presidential Family

The pricelessness of forcing whites to stomach the daily presence of a black family, for most was enough to case the 1st vote for Barack Obama.

It may not be as far off as you think

Through the eyes of history President Barack Obama will likely go down as the greatest president to have ever lived.

What President Barack Obama has done is exactly what needed to be done. It may have nuanced, but there was nothing extraordinary about it. He just happened to be president when they occurred. The previous President, George Bush, had America teetering on collapse and the American people were not having anymore Republican party policies shoved down their throats. The top 1% and media knew that the present conditions were unsustainable so they gave Americans a choice the black guy or the lady, and then they pushed Americans to the easier-to-deal with choice of the black guy. The republicans threw the 2008 election and the rest is history (they have to run someone to get the monies right?) And the black guy office and he took all of the hits, like he was supposed to and he has catered to every major group there was.

Drone on

President Barack Obama is also authorizing the use of remote control drones to kill people, so much so that this usages has now crept into police usage. He has allowed the NSA, CIA and the FBI the freedom to collect every bit of data there is on everyone, forever erasing the any notion of privacy. He has been far too accommodating to those who have impeded every one of his congressional pushes. He said that his administration would be transparent, but it hasn’t been. He has allowed lobbyist to work in his administration. He hasn’t placed a tariff on companies that do not provide barely sustainable wages to employees. Scores of innocent people, according to the DOJ, are incarcerated unknowingly. He has not fined or ended discrimination in internet purchases. He is still fundraising by millions. Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program has soared by 70 percent since he took office, He has not required companies selling and or operating in the U.S. to establish a non-slave wage for workers in third wold countries. He has not taken money out of politics. He has not fined, nor ended nightclub gender discrimination. He has done nothing about securing America’s southern border and has refused to enforce federal immigration laws. He ordered criminal investigations of reporters. He has dismissed any mention of reparations. He used the IRS to target conservatives. He bailed out the banks after their collapse.

“I’m a warrior for the middle class”, he has always bashed the rich and talks about helping the middle class, but hasn’t. American children graduating from high school, test scores average a 7th grade reading levels and 8th grade math level, and this hasn’t changed since he’s been in office and nothing he has done shows that America is serious about education our youth. He did not close Guantanamo Bay detention camp as he promised, it still houses detainees. He has a kill list, a list that has the locations of people he would like to pursue lethal action against. He has done nothing to end the failed war on drugs policies. He has done noting to reduce the states immoral need to incarcerate citizens for profit. He has not had his attorney general office review the thousands of racially biased laws…

H.R. 40

President Barack Obama has ignored the common folk, the every man, America’s backbone. For them taxes are high taxes, prices on mass produced items never go down, power is still centralized in political parties, gas prices are twice as high, a subtle class war has begun, and the regulations that face small businesses are burdensome. Since he has been in office the disparity between the rich and poor has never been greater.

“The idea that so many children are born into poverty in the wealthiest nation on Earth is heartbreaking enough. But the idea that a child may never be able to escape that poverty because she lacks a decent education or health care or a community that views her future as their own, that should offend all of us,”- President Barack Obama. Fortunately for President Obama there is still time for him to address many of these concerns.

No America doesn’t need a woman, Hispanic, Asian, and certainty not another black president. What America needs is an individual. An individual who will do the right thing. America needs a president who won’t just spew party platforms and follow party lines. America needs a president who will not bow to lobbyist, corporatism, special interest groups. If that were to happen that will be the only president for who gender and race does not matter. That is also a president, America won’t be allowed to have.

Dear President Barack Obama and Congress:

With all due respect President Barack Obama we demand that you mandate fixing of educational standards and end the educational money-pit,  encourage the formation of a Black Defense League. prompt the Department of Justice to look into the 11% of cases of inmates they have said shouldn’t be incarcerated, investigate and reverse every racially biased law, revamp America’s legal sand prison system and give reparations to slave descendants that only applies to the 1st two years of college.

We also request that you revive the truth in advertising laws, stop the advertising of drugs and alcohol on television and cable, stop the advertising of adult and sexual themes on children’s networks, stop using war and conflicts as a jobs bills, stop giving South America and drug cartels 200 billion per year, stop giving all other countries billions of dollars yearly to be our ally, pull our troops out of 162 countries, close the border and regulate it, reform immigration policies, and change US foreign policy.

We implore Congress incentivize corporations to build in Africa not take its natural resources, decrease the importance of the Stock Market, end Matching Funds, reform election rules (including those of broadcast stations), float the idea of creating multiple viable political parties, stop drilling for oil off the coast, let Detroit automakers go bankrupt, mandate females to register for selective service, pull embassies out of countries that don’t like us, stop building nations and reallocate forces to rebuild bridges, roads and schools in America.

We request that you ensure that All laws are equal, stop absurd differing age regulations due to state, end baseball antitrust exemption, leave Cuba alone, stop funding Mexican drug cartels, tax companies that outsource, change the tax code, require that all companies that do business in America pay a minimum wage to workers in other countries, legalize marijuana, ban guns (which contrary to popular belief is entirely possible and legal), reduce the size of the military, ban lobbying and encourage companies to release the cures for human conditions instead of merely maintaining conditions for profit.

Yes the president isn’t God an the Government can’t do everything for us. Most of these things listed were allowed and pushed by president and government, so this is were we Americans begin negotiations. Of course we could keep slowly rolling along with the same movements, but we are in unprecedented territory and now is the time for us to be unprecedented! We have to let go of of the old, the outdated, anything else is unacceptable.

Photonic circuts, integrated projection, light interfaces, morph technology, but  weren’t we were promised better education, a better society and better communities? I know you’re sitting there smugly thinking ‘but we are smarter’ and that thought only serves to further prove the point. We were seduced with the possibility of more access and information. The children and the generations aren’t better, we were sold a bill of goods that didn’t deliver, well they have delivered a new addiction. Our thoughts center on the techno because we need the instant access, we need to know now. Smartphones that create hotspots and have enough power to turn into laptops and dock with your HD television and car. Soon they will be able to dock with you, you’d probably like that.  We  will continue to wait on the next ring, vibration, update or the the next big thing in technology, but haven’t we have forgotten the place of these devices? They have turned single tasking into “multi-tasking”, I mean task-switching because we really don’t multi-task. Yeah, I know you can multi-task with the best of them. We all think that we can, but multi-tasking slows you down by causing errors, sloppiness, shoddy work, and if you stop lying to yourself none of this will be in dispute. Humans are nothing without our ability to focus, that’s how we created them. And for a bonus all this technology comes with intentional blindness and the delusion that you are aware when you aren’t. Even in the movies where they show a distant future, with beyond the wildest of imaginations of technological advancement and there are still a myraid of problems not solved. I’ve seen “Blade Runner”, “Star Wars”, “iRobot”, “Minority Report” and “Demolition Man” the computerized future is not better. FANBOYS stop rubbing the device already, yeah I know you could if you wanted to.

The information revolution brought Real time, Down time, Pods, Tweets, Tabs, and Posts, but it is the adults who are the most responsible for exposing the most vulnerable and susceptible of our citizens, the children. Adults have allowed this technology in and around our babies, their schools and classrooms. Colleges require that you not only purchase a computer, but also spend hundreds of dollars on software, or fail the course. Tax payers and parents have spent hundreds of millions of dollar on the technological school, and test scores have gone down. Couldn’t we have better served the children, the community and ourselves by not being slaves to the industry. Children are growing up online, technology has shortened attentions spans and contributes to ADD. Children are now more connected to the technology than to people who provide it, this is where they gain their social experiences. The social networks can connect you with protests occurring around the world, but they can’t make you care. And with the touch of a screen they spy on their roommates sexual preferences, and then broadcast them to the world.

The greatest lie of the digital age is that you control the message. You do not control the message when your child’s second life is virtual. Children have a lack of clarity, some of them can’t play outside and become bored easily. It is true that every generation will be critizied for something, being too liberal, too obsessed with technology, too dumb. This generation is hardly the dumbest generation, however a sharp decrease in intellect is apparent, noted by declines in text scores and literacy rates.

“As the digital age has transformed the world and workforce, U.S. K–12 education has fallen woefully behind in preparing students with the fundamental computer science knowledge and skills they need for fully behind in preparing students with the fundamental future success.”- Computer World Magazine

The bottom line is that tutitions have skyrocketed, but 50% of college students have not improved. Books still cost an arm and a leg and many of them are digital. Let’s face it students aren’t getting ahead and the technology cost money, perhaps too much. New hardware is often over priced and buggy. It usually takes three or four generations for a company to get a device right, so generations 1-3 are merely for fund raising, which reduces early adopters to nothing more than self indulgent guinea pigs. If a politician promised all these things, but never delivered would we reelect them… On second thought that’s a bad analogy. However, every quarter we reelect a new cell phone, and every year a new computing device, we have been programmed to sustain a another failed industry. We have more information but racism, classism and sexism are all on the rise.  Millions of people are unemployed. The government still has secrets, Cable cost more, Violence is still senseless, Movie are still expensive to nothing of the quality, Celebrities still use drugs and wear no underwear, DNA evidence is still wrong, Music hasn’t gotten better, The elderly are still  mistreated, We still get lost in our cars and we miss our buses, but hey I can touch a screen and change a page. Different does not mean better, we have lost sight of that. All the while these companies that make and sell these products have become worldwide billion dollar conglomerates. Maybe things would be different if you didn’t have to pay for it…and worse of all poetry doesn’t read the same. We have programmed these devices to calculate everything except our fear, fear of being left behind.

(From Part 1)

Anxiety, Stress, Nervousness, Insecurity, Internet inactivity…Perhaps this is why we hide behind avatars and professional profile photos. Are our “Friends” really inside that gadget? If so, what happens to them when we turn it off? Are we really linked? Don’t look now, the App beacons. 3G, 4G, Android,3D, Windows, GUI, Laser Etched, 4K, App, Opened Sourced, Cellphones that double as tasers, omnitouch… consume or perish. Who doesn’t have a touch screen television with dashboard widgets, but we were promised the eradication of diseases, the finding of cures and the solving of age-old problems. Strangely, there are more diseases, no cures and more problems than ever before. There are those that say “Technology is not dangerous the way in which we use it is dangerous”, and as always the debate ends when something tragic happens. We were promised security, but there are even more security measures, concerns, threats and prisons. We were all promised more knowledge, but we seem a bit dumber. These machines were said to help us make decisions, but unwanted pregnancies and divorce rates are higher. 50 Billion searhces on Google each month and we still haven’t found the truth… the search continues.

Overlays, screens, processing power, virtual children, pets, exabytes, tickers, more distractions. You get a ticket for talking on your cell phone, but somehow the law doesn’t apply to police officers… it never does. And soon as we find a discrepancy, a fault, a sub routine error, we get sold on using technology to fight technology. We are, for better or worse, married to technology. It seemed reasonable to create thousands of  nuclear weapons, but now it seems unreasonable for anyone else to have one. Skype. What did you call me? Technological advancement was supposed to free us, but are we not invisibly chained to our desks, LCD, Do-dads, interfaces, whatchamacallits and doohickies? A hacker can take down Sony’s Playstation Network for a month and compromise 20 million credit cards in the process and the news doesn’t make a peep because this it the new digital way of life, where these threats are common place. Twitter beefs have real life and death consequences. Entertainers tell their followers that “Google is God”.  Nintendo’s new console wants players to “feel” shapes and objects in the game all the while we are trying to mentally project our digital self as a form of control, the illusion on control that is. Is there a such thing as technological oppression? How ironic it would be if your entire life were photo shopped…. Maybe you should post that.

Internet dependence. Labor-saving, hands free, fail, manage the inbox of the mind. We claim to treasure our individualism, but we own the same devices, made by the same companies… go figure. And now the gadets are more important than your safety, or the safety of others. Print is Dead and were it not for two wars, newspapers would have went the way of the Dodo. The web took the Music out of Music Television, which has now resorted to exploiting children for ratings, while marketing and early adopters have convinced us that with these devices is a better way to exist, than without. Revolutions in technology have innovated new ways to make a living. Yes, the world has changed, a job in the factory and mill is now one in the office and idea centers. It seems as though Tech pioneers have sparked and stunted creativity all at once. How did we get to the point when someone with a cell phone can shut down corporations, crippled the stock market and hamper our government? The technology can connect us and disconnect us, as a tool it can bring the world closer (see Egypt). The truth is that Revolution comes through the people not from the  technology. It will all begin to dawn on you when you discover that you cellphone is actually spying on you.
