President Barack Obama

Ohio’s school district suspended a teacher without pay for allegedly telling an African-American student, “We don’t need another black president.” Far be it form me to criticize the protocol for disciplining teachers, but the call for this teacher’s”firing” is overboard. It is overboard one because the media isn’t filling synapses with more urgent and pressing matters, and two if history is any indicator the teacher is right. We don’t need another black president.

America doesn’t need a female president (sorry Hillary). America doesn’t need a Hispanic or an Asian president. I know people will not like that but it’s the truth. America doesn’t need another ethnic, hyphenated, or sub group American as president if they are going to do exactly what a white male would do. America doesn’t need a female president, if she is going to do what her white male counterpart would do, just so we can celebrate that she is female. Yes those with agendas and predisposed mental conditions would cheer any selection from the selected, but they too will realize that electing someone doesn’t meant that someone represents your concerns, even if they claim to (see Worst Congress Ever). These others, (non-white males) have different experiences, different upbringings and different philosophies but once elect all of those qualities are muted by lobbyist and party lines. With all the talk of inclusion and diversity you don’t see either ruling party grooming any “minority” for the highest office in 2016, now do you? And that should tell you all you need to know.

Saving the auto industry

This does not mean the President is not to be commended for enduring all of the family attacks, the coded-racial slings and arrows. he has recovered masterfully from his mis-steps and endured the fickle whims of an under informed public. Under President Barack Obama the economy is stronger, the supreme court has a Hispanic justice, marijuana is legal, unemployment is down, homosexuals can marry, homeless veterans have housing, wall street has been reformed, the auto industry has been saved, the war in Iraq is over, women are paid equally as men, the stock market is higher than it has ever been and every American has healthcare coverage.

Presidential Family

The pricelessness of forcing whites to stomach the daily presence of a black family, for most was enough to case the 1st vote for Barack Obama.

It may not be as far off as you think

Through the eyes of history President Barack Obama will likely go down as the greatest president to have ever lived.

What President Barack Obama has done is exactly what needed to be done. It may have nuanced, but there was nothing extraordinary about it. He just happened to be president when they occurred. The previous President, George Bush, had America teetering on collapse and the American people were not having anymore Republican party policies shoved down their throats. The top 1% and media knew that the present conditions were unsustainable so they gave Americans a choice the black guy or the lady, and then they pushed Americans to the easier-to-deal with choice of the black guy. The republicans threw the 2008 election and the rest is history (they have to run someone to get the monies right?) And the black guy office and he took all of the hits, like he was supposed to and he has catered to every major group there was.

Drone on

President Barack Obama is also authorizing the use of remote control drones to kill people, so much so that this usages has now crept into police usage. He has allowed the NSA, CIA and the FBI the freedom to collect every bit of data there is on everyone, forever erasing the any notion of privacy. He has been far too accommodating to those who have impeded every one of his congressional pushes. He said that his administration would be transparent, but it hasn’t been. He has allowed lobbyist to work in his administration. He hasn’t placed a tariff on companies that do not provide barely sustainable wages to employees. Scores of innocent people, according to the DOJ, are incarcerated unknowingly. He has not fined or ended discrimination in internet purchases. He is still fundraising by millions. Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program has soared by 70 percent since he took office, He has not required companies selling and or operating in the U.S. to establish a non-slave wage for workers in third wold countries. He has not taken money out of politics. He has not fined, nor ended nightclub gender discrimination. He has done nothing about securing America’s southern border and has refused to enforce federal immigration laws. He ordered criminal investigations of reporters. He has dismissed any mention of reparations. He used the IRS to target conservatives. He bailed out the banks after their collapse.

“I’m a warrior for the middle class”, he has always bashed the rich and talks about helping the middle class, but hasn’t. American children graduating from high school, test scores average a 7th grade reading levels and 8th grade math level, and this hasn’t changed since he’s been in office and nothing he has done shows that America is serious about education our youth. He did not close Guantanamo Bay detention camp as he promised, it still houses detainees. He has a kill list, a list that has the locations of people he would like to pursue lethal action against. He has done nothing to end the failed war on drugs policies. He has done noting to reduce the states immoral need to incarcerate citizens for profit. He has not had his attorney general office review the thousands of racially biased laws…

President Barack Obama has ignored the common folk, the every man, America’s backbone. For them taxes are high taxes, prices on mass produced items never go down, power is still centralized in political parties, gas prices are twice as high, a subtle class war has begun, and the regulations that face small businesses are burdensome. Since he has been in office the disparity between the rich and poor has never been greater.

“The idea that so many children are born into poverty in the wealthiest nation on Earth is heartbreaking enough. But the idea that a child may never be able to escape that poverty because she lacks a decent education or health care or a community that views her future as their own, that should offend all of us,”- President Barack Obama. Fortunately for President Obama there is still time for him to address many of these concerns.

No America doesn’t need a woman, Hispanic, Asian, and certainty not another black president. What America needs is an individual. An individual who will do the right thing. America needs a president who won’t just spew party platforms and follow party lines. America needs a president who will not bow to lobbyist, corporatism, special interest groups. If that were to happen that will be the only president for who gender and race does not matter. That is also a president, America won’t be allowed to have.

How does one explain that the one billion dollars you spent on a presidential election got you soundly drubbed by over 100 electoral votes margin? How do you justify the loss of each congressional candidate that was backed by 300 million in ads?

In the most telling of moments of the 2012 election it was hurricane Sandy showed people racism and prejudice is not functional for a forward moving country. Racism exists, prejudice exists, and it exists culturally and institutionally, especially for whites. This polarization runs across race and across class. After the re-election of President Barack Obama tens of thousands have signed petitions to secede from the union, an absurd proposition, but the sentiment that prejudice carries trump common sense. In the midst of this loud and prevalent ignorance some are waking up. Some realize that we cannot longer look at the countries the USA has attacked over the years or will engage in the future and say that they weren’t peppered with racist notions.

Today blacks that graduate with college degrees are twice as unlikely to get hired as their white counterparts. To say that America is racist is not a rhetorical narrative. White America is not prepared to view the world how it is or how it is becoming. They want everyone to think like them, many of them have a stuck in the past mentality. When they are confronted with a multi-ethnic, multi-religious and multi-racial society they retreat to what comforts them and politicians and the 24 hours networks give them that comfort.

The media plays it loud, clear and repeatedly that they can go back to a time when half the country wasn’t free, to a time when the natives were being exterminated and their land occupied, to a time when the theft of Mexico’s land was underway, to a time when 4 million where enslaved. How can this narrative be the main one that is played over and over again by journalists, networks or any responsible party, because it is their agenda? And the disillusioned, jaded masses find solace in these and every fringe narrative propagated by the media. Then they present specials on why social media sites are often deluged with racist, sexist and homophobic rants as if the media didn’t bring people on to put it out to the masses.

The sport of politics continues on as the ratings driven media engine and fringe bloggers gently pull the racial heart strings of the prejudice and ill informed masses. In a free country demographics change, times change, but you still loudly heard the chants of “take our country back!’  Networks and commentators echoed these very same chants. Networks sieges on and repeat flawed and absurd narratives even when the rhetoric came from non-credible sources. This repetition not only reinforced this racial psychosis, but allowed people to cling on to racist notions, and live happily every after with ignorant sound bites. In the end, some believed, even subconsciously,  that race was more important that correcting the countries dire economic situation. This belief was and is so strong that some are willing to allow the country to collapse, to not hire people, and to undermine the President.

Politicians don’t have the fortitude to tell their constituents that the country no longer looks like it did when your forefather had power. Instead they fleece and exploit and lie to them to stay in office, to stay relevant. Countless commentators are willing to blow dog whistles and toss red meat as long as networks will give opportunities to commentate.

For liberals, conservative and anyone in-between the entertainment complex contains far too many bad acting participants to name, however, there is a market for hate, racism and prejudice. This market has led its followers, its donors and its noble activist to often be mistaken about the nature of the America’s problems. They become jaded, biased and socially irresponsible, quite simply it’s a sickness. This complex pits one vs. the other, lauds and celebrates party identification even though this identification inherently forces people reject factual narratives and new information. Some people feel as though they are nothing without the party, the party is a part of their identity. It is this party identity that urges people to vote against their and the country’s best interest.

The election is over and for Americans, all the ill will is no longer on the front page, the negativity is no longer blaring 24 hour a day. And on we trudge without so much as an apology, without a hint of remorse, and without a resolution to the sickness. For Americans it’s business as usual and on to the next crisis for the news media, on to the next pundit that seeks only to continue the debate and on to the next election of cruelty. Forward.

Dear President Barack Obama and Congress:

With all due respect President Barack Obama we demand that you mandate fixing of educational standards and end the educational money-pit,  encourage the formation of a Black Defense League. prompt the Department of Justice to look into the 11% of cases of inmates they have said shouldn’t be incarcerated, investigate and reverse every racially biased law, revamp America’s legal sand prison system and give reparations to slave descendants that only applies to the 1st two years of college.

We also request that you revive the truth in advertising laws, stop the advertising of drugs and alcohol on television and cable, stop the advertising of adult and sexual themes on children’s networks, stop using war and conflicts as a jobs bills, stop giving South America and drug cartels 200 billion per year, stop giving all other countries billions of dollars yearly to be our ally, pull our troops out of 162 countries, close the border and regulate it, reform immigration policies, and change US foreign policy.

We implore Congress incentivize corporations to build in Africa not take its natural resources, decrease the importance of the Stock Market, end Matching Funds, reform election rules (including those of broadcast stations), float the idea of creating multiple viable political parties, stop drilling for oil off the coast, let Detroit automakers go bankrupt, mandate females to register for selective service, pull embassies out of countries that don’t like us, stop building nations and reallocate forces to rebuild bridges, roads and schools in America.

We request that you ensure that All laws are equal, stop absurd differing age regulations due to state, end baseball antitrust exemption, leave Cuba alone, stop funding Mexican drug cartels, tax companies that outsource, change the tax code, require that all companies that do business in America pay a minimum wage to workers in other countries, legalize marijuana, ban guns (which contrary to popular belief is entirely possible and legal), reduce the size of the military, ban lobbying and encourage companies to release the cures for human conditions instead of merely maintaining conditions for profit.

Yes the president isn’t God an the Government can’t do everything for us. Most of these things listed were allowed and pushed by president and government, so this is were we Americans begin negotiations. Of course we could keep slowly rolling along with the same movements, but we are in unprecedented territory and now is the time for us to be unprecedented! We have to let go of of the old, the outdated, anything else is unacceptable.

I’ve seen what a real father is.

My parents migrated to his country; they lived in New York’s barrios.

The Nuyorican hardships is what caused them to come west.

My father worked fourteen hour days for next to nothing and

mi madre worked her fingers and feet crooked to give us a better life.

In public, she still walks with her head down.

We are despised, discriminated against, but just as

things are changing for blacks, look at us…

We have quarterback professional football teams, we hosted late night talk shows

and we even have a wise Latina on the highest court.

I was the first in my family to graduate high school,

the first to impress whites, who thought I couldn’t read, with my English.

the first embarrass my parents with my Espanol

and the first to date a black woman.

I read all those books in school I had to read because I didn’t have a television until I was ten and when I finally got one it was a black and white piece of shit, but it worked. I got a color one at 14 and it was like Christmas everyday. We lived in a four wall shack. I never had a room of my own sometimes I had to share my room with bichotes, Pimps and Prostitutas so we could make rent that month, which was cool because times were hard, but at least we were making rent, ya know.

All I could do at night was read and when I heard the sirens I would get my pencils and draw all the places my mind wanted to go. In my drawings I think I have traveled further than anyone but most of the time my stomach growled louder than my wildest imaginings.

One Generation Away

I am one generation away.

One generation away from working in the fields for $6 a day.

One notion from being smuggled across the border in the back of a truck.

One meal away from always being hungry,

one action away from being beaten,

one decision from being hopeless,

one nation away from rumination.

I know what people call me. I know what they say,

but I have my arms outstretched on my journey to faith.

One generation away.
